It’s a late one (Sunday 3rd April), but Mother’s Day will be upon us soon and here at the Tearooms, we know you like to bring your mums for lunch and tea anyway, so why not make Mum feel special and bring her along on ‘her’ day?
You can expect our usual Warm Welcome and freshly prepared food. We will be changing our menu slightly for Spring Summer from next week and we will have a few “Mother’s Day Treats” on the Specials Board.
Come for lunch and enjoy a soup or prawn cocktail starter, with maybe a baked potato or salad, followed by ice creams, some special puddings or even our now famous freshly prepared Knickerbocker Glories. We will also have our very own “Tally Ho Mochabocker Glory”! on our new menu – can you guess what’s in that one?
Of course you can come for Tea where we can serve you a delightful Traditional Cream Tea, a Savoury Tea, or our Victorian Tea (sandwich, cream tea and slice of cake). On our New Menu we will also be introducing Two New Teas… The Tally Ho Afternoon Tea, which is a sandwich and cream tea, and the Diabetic/Slimmer’s Cream Tea with special low fat, low sugar scone, low sugar jam and light Whipped cream, meaning those on a restricted diet can also join in and enjoy a treat without being too naughty!

Don’t forget we also have a gift area where we sell a lot of chocolate favours (pictured below), and as a gift for mother’s day they are perfect. They are made by hand locally by two sisters and we will also have some Chocolate Place Settings (pictured left), either of which you can order at the same time as your reservation for each of your party or just a little something for Mum. (Favours are £1.30 each and Place Settings are £1.50 each).
To give you an idea of size of the favours, they are approximately 2 inches long, all hand moulded and coloured, and every single one wrapped and decorated with a flower.
