No…. it’s just a potato I realise, but it’s shape meant it was ’saved from the soup’!  I was chopping the ingedients for our Home-Made vegetable soup when I reached into the bag of potatoes and saw this little fella!

Now each time I showed it to someone, they said “oh yes, it’s a duck”!  Well, I’m sorry, but it looks distinctly like a dove to me!  It’s beak is too small for a duck!

It’s still sitting on my desk at the moment… I’m deciding what to do with it.  It’s beak is gradually getting longer and I think it might be drying out a bit! but I haven’t the heart to eat it.  I’m thinking of planting it actually.
